Füssen

The border town to Austria in the bavarian administrative region Swabia is located on the romantic street and the Via Claudia Augusta.

Bad Tölz

The city at the Isar, 50 km in the south of Munich, was appointed to the ‚Heilklimatischer Kurort’ in 1969 and got the title ‚Moorheilbad’ in 2005.

Recreation on the lake

In the Ammergauer Alps, there are the Plansee and the Heiterwangersee, both are connected with a 300 metre long channel.

The Walchensee, one of the deepest and largest Alplakes in Germany, belongs to the community Kochel at the lake, in which community area the Kochelsee is partly located.

On the verge of the Bavarian Alps, belonging to the communities Schlehdorf and Kochel am See, there is the Kochelsee.

One of the cleanest lakes in the upper Bavaria is the Riegsee.

Lake „Ferchensee“ is located in the southwest from Mittenwald and reaches more than 20 degrees water temperature in summer.

Lake „Pflegersee“ is one of the most famous places of excursions above from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Achensee - Tirol´s biggest lake forms the boarder between the Karwendelmountains and the Brandenberger Alps and is located 380 metres over the Inntal at Jenbach in Tirol.

Starnberger See - Germany´s biggest lake is, caused by ist depth, the secondwatery at once.

The Chiemsee also is named the „Bavarian Sea“ and is, with a area of 79,9 km2 the biggest lake in Bavaria.

Monasteries and castles

Hohenschwangau Castle is a 19th-century palace in southern Germany.

The monastery Rottenbuch, not far from the Ammertal and the Wieskirche, was built from the duke Welf I. from Bavaria in about 1073.

Benediktbeuern, one of the oldest Benediktiner monasteries in Bavaria. In 725 the former Benetiktinerabbey was launched and in 1669 the baroque monastery arised.
