Innsbruck

Innsbruck is located round 60 km south from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Already from a distance you can see the imposing skijumping redoubt above the Tirol provincial capital.

Majestic enthroned the city on the historical Bergisel.

The Olympic Fire was inflamed here at the Olympics 1964 and 1976. Today the new designed redoubt is an architetural highlight.

Especially worth seeing is also the „Golden Dacherl“ in the historical city center.

München

No 100 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen away invites the city Munich to visit ist beer gardens, its museums and exhibitons and offers a diversity of all culture and lifestyle that this big city has to show. The English Garden, the Olympia Centre and a lot of other sights wait for your visit.

Bad Tölz

The city at the Isar, 50 km in the south of Munich, was appointed to the ‚Heilklimatischer Kurort’ in 1969 and got the title ‚Moorheilbad’ in 2005. The crafts enterprise in the middle ages got the city to flourish, among them especially the rafter and the kistler. The last one provided the surroundings til Munich with their furniture and fixtures painted in vivid colours, like chests, boxes and canopy beds.

Bad Tölz became known with the tv series ‚Der Bulle von Tölz’ in recent time.

Rosenheim

The Upper Bavaria’s third largest city with about 60.000 inhabitants and county Rosenheim’s district town is located in the Southeast of Munich in the foothills of the Alps, at the junction of Inn and Mangfall. Except with the car or the train, the city is also reachable with the bike, for example on the Mangfall-bicycle track, which connects Munich and Rosenheim. From here you can continue the bicycle tour long the Inntal-bikeway til Passau.

Füssen

The border town to Austria in the bavarian administrative region Swabia is located on the romantic street and the Via Claudia Augusta. It is the Ostallgäus’ second largest city and invites to a stroll in the town through the historic center, the many fountains, shops and a city wall which is still in a good condition and is from the departed Roman times. Castle Neuschwanstein, Castle Hohenschwangau and the Forggenlake, from the Lech recharged barrier lake, is located within spitting distance.
